Thats right JB, he died in action at the Theatre of war, along with his brother Robert, sadly we have no photos of Robert.

Found 2 R Pilkington on the CWGC site, both in the LNLR, presume one is your relative. A relative of mine served in the same regiment, survived the War but died in January 1919, buried in a war grave in Ince cemetery.
