lovely photo chris, look at the net curtains on the window, fantastic.love these photos, cant beleive that these people were alive and doing everyday stuff and we werent even thought of luv it.

Yes Josie these photo's are great, Jacob is my husbands maternal great grandfather, he is so lucky to have them, I stuggle to have photo's of my parents when they were young let alone great grandparents. We found all the Prescott and Clark photo's when Terry's mum died 2 years ago and it made his family history research so much better. I also love the net curtains and the clothes that Martha is wearing. Jacob's address on the 1911 census was Grammer School House in Hindley, this we think was the house that was attached to Hindley Grammer School so I wonder if the house in the background is it, although it could be the house of one of his married children.

My relation was born at Pottery and it was when I decided to have a look at my family tree details, I saw Jacob Clark. Tracing him forward I have found that Jacob's grandson, Jack, married Phyliss Platt, a sister to my wife's Grandmother.
