Is this Sylvia Woodcock, who lived in Chadwick Street, Poolstock and is Wilf Aspey the brother of Margaret Aspey? Derek Wilde hasn't changed much since then.
Did Ken Broxston become a Prison Officer?
Are you the Ken Broxson from Gullicks ?
I am the same Brocky that was at Gullicks and never saw the inside of a prison though many may have liked me to
I could tell it was you Ken, I was talking to you in Wigan last week, before you went to the dentists.
Are you Terry Broxton's brother. I went to St James Worsley Mesnes school and church.
Yes Terry is my brother,we still live in Worsley Mesnes
Hi Ken, Hope you are keeping well? There is no mistaking you on the photo.
Maureen, it is Sylvia from Chadwick Street, thanks for the comment regarding myself, I think the a.n.other in the front row is Harry Barrow.
Thanks for the info Derek. Do you remember if Wilf Aspey lived in Peet Street Poolstock? Nice to hear from you.
Maureen, not sure about the street Wilf lived on. It was behind Pool street down by the chemist on the corner.
I know its you now harry. Not been called Oscar for a long time. How and where are you.
Kenny, Since talking to you what a nice surprise to make contact with friends from the past.
Is Jim Hankey still around remeber him playing for Orrell RU
Derek I believe we are talking about the same Wilf Aspey and he is the brother of an old friend of mine, Margaret Aspey, who I haven't seen for years.
Maureen, talking to Margaret Gaskell today, Wilf Aspey did live in Peet Street. remember Mrs Aspey washing our hands at dinnertime.
Ken,you flabbered my gast when I saw this photo,I remember it as if it were yesterday. It was taken in the rink over the top of Madam Tussauds.I can't put a name to the lad top right, but I do remember him.All sorts of memories come flooding back about Poolstock, the streets, the youth club but most of all the people and the fun times of our youth. Thanks a lot Ken. A nother in the front row.
Hello again Derek,It's so good to talk to you after all these years,"50+"must be.I do hope you are keeping well and in good health.I live in Kent in a village a few miles from Canterbury, with my wife Pam,black Lab.Wendy and doing bugger all.I moved from Wigan to London in 1972 and then to Kent in 88.That took some getting used to, after the the bright lights and 24/7 lifestyle of the big city,Canterbury was like Wigan on a Sunday morning. When Macdonalds closed at 7 pm that was it,but it's much better now and I won't be moving again. What have you been up to? take care H.
Yes i'am still around, and living in goose green.
