Wigan Album

This is james ashton, my uncle sadley passed away a good while ago. He is my mums brother "annie turner nee ashton). He was of course a wiganer he was in the navy on the torpedo crew of hms jamaica and was involved in the final battle with the bismark.
Later in life he married and moved to wolverhampton. My mum spoke of him often and his war time duties, wasnt he hansom with those striking eyes!
