william and martha moved to wigan rd bryn around 1890 from cale lane new springs.a builder by trade william built many houses in aspull and bryn in the late 1800s and early 1900s.they both died within 4 days of each other in 1909.

Could this couple be related to Cliff and Dick Green who both worked at Stones pit. Cliff was undermanager and Dick worked on the washery. The man has a definite resemblance to Cliff as I remember him.

Fred they had 8 children 4 boys and 4 girls.The sons names were Jonathon,William,James and Samuel.I only know the descendants on Samuels side,the men you mentioned didn't come from this side of the family.I have no idea what happened to any of the others or their descendants.

Fred I would say your 100% right on them being related, and Ciff also lived at Bryn so it could tie in

WHAT A BRILLIANT PICTURE. THEY ARE MY GREAT GREAT GRANDPARENTS. THE QUALITY IS EXELLENT. I CAN IMAGINE THEY TAKE THE WHOLE DAY AND MAYBE ON A TRAM TO GET THERE JUST TO HAVE THE PICTURE TAKEN.

My Grandma Agnes Green Had relations in Pemberton her sister
