The girl with bows in her hair is Kathleen Wilcox, she lived next door to the chip shop on Castle Hill, she married Dennis Aspinall. The girl next to her is Yvonne Threlfall.

Girl back left, holding baby is Joan Dickinson. Her mother was born mary Hutchinson. Her dad Jackie was killed down the pit when a wagon full of coal crushed him, he was only in his twenties. They lived in the first stepped house on the left, at top of castle hill, corner of bleakledge grove ( now just a grassed area)
I was born in the stepped houses . No 153. Has anyone got a photo of these houses. We lived next door to the Banks family
