Gosh, what memories.

I remember Uncles, Billy and Jimmy and Aunty Elizabeth Ellen and of course, Aunty Maggie.

It's lovely to photos of them once again after many, many years.

Cheers to you, Les.

Fred.

Can I please ask which lady Maggie or Margaret had the maiden name Meadows and had a brothers called Walter, John and Thomas? I believe we are also connected via Brian Entwhistle who is my uncle.

I remember this day very well. As a 13 year old ( me and my sister Kathleen twins of Walter and Betty Moore) I had to wait in Grenhough Street for uncle Billy's car to turn in from Standishgate..then run into the Mission Hall and tell everyone to be quiet. It was a surprise party for my grandad and grandma. They thought they were being taken to Uncle Billy's house in Ashland Avenue and uncle Billy told them he had to call at the church to pick something up. When they entered the church all their family was there. We had a great party in the big hall upstairs followed by a concert performed by all of the family. They all had musical talents which were thought to them as kids by their parents.. My grandad and grandma Jimmy and Elizabeth Ellen Entiwstle.

Great to see this wonderful family photo! Great also to see the comment by Keith! Brian and I now live in USA after 30 years in Australia but hope to come to UK for a family reunion in July 2014. Grandma taught me how to bake.

Lovely family picture, so many memories for you all.
I don't however remember the Chapel on Water Heyes, only the little factory on the right just before you got to Greenough Street when walking from the Little Theatre.
