A bottle of Stout, and a good welome from a faithfull friend...

.. his wife was maybe making his tea?

But that is a contented looking bloke, not rich... but happy with his own riches.

We need more like this, if only to stop us from moaning about our lot.

I like the way that Ben is looking straight into the camera

I remember Factory Fold from when I was a little girl. I had an auntie who lived in Windermere Road, Ince, and we used to visit on Sunday afternoons, taking a short-cut through Factory Fold. A lady who cleaned at St. Williams lived there, and I was enchanted,as a child, with her lovely little neat house with its seemingly tiny front door. It was a lovely little place.

It's not what you have, but what you are that counts!
For some reason, I know that this man counted for a great deal.

It's photos like these that make me come back for more! Love it!

Thanks Jenny Syd and Bob for commenting. This photo is of my husbands grandfather which I hold dear because he was unrecognised by everyone else. Even his name was not rightfully passed on to his own five children.

A very evocative photo. How is it that a "mere" look can tell you so much? This is the kind of photograph that professionals always strive for yet rarely achieve. James and Ben, you've done Ince proud.
