ainscow street as long gone, it was on left as you come over the old railway bridge in spring view on left was ST. MARYS church just passed was a turning to left then first right. today if you turn left at new island for new estate then first left it was about there

Did you see my entry above, Alf was a milkman and he came from Hindley Green, I think he was in partnership with Sid, when they sold the business they worked in the mine until they were made reduntant??

ROLAND alf was a milkman he was in partnership with bill and sid worked with them all three worked in the mines at some time. alf and bill worked at plank lane and parkside.

these are my Grandads brother and sister, his name was William (Bill) does anyone know if there are any photos of Bill anywhere?
