Wigan Album

Does anyone in the Salter family know of a W. H. Salter(Christian names unknown) who worked for the Post Office and was killed in the First World War? His name is on the Wigan Post Office Roll of Honour (see photo on Stuff, Roll of Honour). I have checked with the family of W. A. Salter Chemists (Mesnes Street, Wigan) but they have no knowledge of this man being related to them. Any information much appreciated. Thank you.
