I am quite interested in the Thomas Banks in the pic
Do you know anything about him, was he Killed in WW1 1917 at Ploegsteert do you know ?

Sorry Kev but Thomas married at St. Catherines, Wigan in 1917 and then had 11 children.

When my grandfather passed away he left me his cousins medals from WW1, Thomas Banks MM.
It was a shot in the dark that this may be a picture of him. Thanks for the reply though.

when my dad died george banks in 1990 aged 64. he gave me my grandads medals. my grandad was john banks who died in 1962 aged 68. i was only one year old.

john banks in the photo was my grandad. george banks my dad died in 1990 age 64. his brother john banks known as jack died a couple of years earlier. uncle jack married elizebeth jellicker. aunty betty only passed away a few years ago. think she was 90. my mum. margaret banks died in march 2012 age 86

I believe these men are my uncles. Their brother John Henry Banks born in 1878 was my grand dad.
