I may be mistaken but I don' think so. I believe this is the same Tommy Banks who was a customer at my father's pub, The Crispin Arms, Birkett Bank in the 1950's. I've posted photos of customers on wiganworld and I'm convinced Tommy is on some of them. If you go to "People" and then "Birkett Bank" you should see him and his inimitable smile, always very cheerful and a lovely man.

This is Mr&Mrs Banks they lived in Kirkless st Birkett Bank. They are outside the Birkett Bank Hotel? I think its the wedding of there daughter Barbara about 1962?they had a few Children I remember Brenda & Bill.

They had children John, Thomas (Died young), Irene, Molly, Jenny, William (Died young), Ror, Brenda, William, Doris & Barbara.

This is a fantastic photograph of my grandma and grandad.I remember my Auntie Barbaras wedding being held at the Birkett Bank Hotel and, as a young boy,having a fantastic day.

I was at Barbaras wedding.We moved into Brendas house when she moved to Whelley.

Mary& Tommy Banks were my parents, Mam worked at the crispin arms,& dad worked at the top place& then at Irlam until his retirement.All family still alive apart from John.I attended the wedding& have the same photograph at home. Irene.

Mary& Tommy Banks were my grandma& grandad.My mother is Irene.I remember when me& my sister Rita used to go & visit them.We used to go to auntie Brenda's as well, as she lived in the same street.

Mary & Thomas were my dad's (Harry Banks) Auntie & Uncle. Thomas was my grandad's brother. All the best to all the Banks family for 2010, Ian
