Terrors of Mons. Not sure who was fighting in the framed photo within this shot but my Grandad, at the top of this picture, boxed during WW2 and was known as knock out ginger.

Do you know if your Grandad was in the Loyal Regt? The man on the left is wearing a Loyals Badge. Do you know which Country they were in at the time? E.T.

Eric, yes my grandad was in the Loyal North Lancashire Regiment.He later spent over 3 years as a POW at the hands of the Japanese.I believe this photo was taken in Belgium.

Hi Barry, Photo' must be before May 1940,then grandad probably was in the Dunkirk evacuation before going to Singapore late 1941. E.T.

Is the picture of a Thomas Hitchin, born in 1868, in Wigan? If so he was married to my Great Aunt, Mary Ann Moran???

No Mary . Thomas hitchen married Maggie hitchen. This is my grandad. X
