Wigan Album

One of several holidays we had in Bearpark, a little pit village two miles or so outside Durham city.We stayed with our Auntie Alice and her family (my mother's oldest sister).They were a family of five who then had a family of seven coming to stay, but somehow they managed.Of course it wouldn't happen nowadays.

No Geoff, it wouldn't happen nowadays, because children wouldn't be satisfied going to stay with family or friends in a non holiday place...We used to have good times though..
