where was / is this please? It's a beautiful building.
The building was part of Carneys farm off Warrington rd Abram.Entrance is facing Park lane.To the left of the building is a field and then the canal. The building was pulled down in the 60's I think and a new house built nearer to the road.Inside the building there was flagged floors and low ceilings and beams. If you look you can see the gateposts, these had a date on them 14??.I was told that the date wasn't genuine.I often wonder what happened to the posts when the Hall was pulled down.
They were at the new house i think dont know if they are still there
the post were suposed to be of oliver cromwells head he was supposed to have stayed at abram hall in the picture i was told it was john foster the carneys stayed at the new house till late 80's im friendly with one of the carneys
abram hall was visited by oliver cromwell he stayed there also the post tops r of cromwells head the carneys no longer live in the new house they left late 80/s
