Que'd many times for the Hindley bus in the Fifties.
Great photo and have good memories of Library street, the bus stop lower down from this was the Ince 3E Bell Green Lane that terminated at Windermere road. In Timberlake's showroom is a brandnew Morris Minor that was in Production from 1952-1971. I think the Marina replaced it?
re the comment 3E bus, it also left from the same stand as 3D as did all Hindley services the stop's lower down were New Springs and Bottling wood services!
Pity I can`t make out the make of the car in H H Timberlake`s. I bought a second hand Wolseley 18/85 car in 1968 which I first saw in same place as this one in photo!
