i thought it was the bridge over the river kwai..ha ha
its actually the overflow from the canal going down to the dougie,its still there but so,s a lot of rubbish thats accumulated over the years.

This bridge when you walked over it used to stink like hell it was always dark brown and rusty coloured the water and the rats where everywhere!!! my mum used to walk over the fields to Heinz factory every morning to go to Work Joan Jolley was her name RIP mum I miss you so so so much xx

The weir is still there its forms part of the canal towpath.
