I remember Park Road inthe 60s, the bit between Gidlow Lane was full of handy shops, co-op, Bill Leyland's newsagent, Percy Gaskell barber, Jesse kay and Billy Walsh butchers, chip shop, pie shop, a couple of sweet shops, another shop on corner of Hardy Street, Bibby's? greengrocer, Johnson's chemist. Walked down there a couple of years ago and it was sad, nothing but hairdressers and tanning salons.

We call that bridge now pigeon bridge all them live under it its funny when peopke rin so thy do not get poo on the house still there

This was c.1910 on an old Postcard. Anyone remember the Gents Loo next to the Bridge?
