Is there a date for this photograph Ron?.

I remember the building being a store called Broadmead's selling electrical goods. Nor sure if that was before or after the Halifax.

There were two Halifax branches in the town centre at this time, this one, and one in Crompton Street.

The reason I asked this question Ron,is. Between 1958, & 1962, prior to being transferred to Pemberton, I did frequent point duty at this location, and I just cannot remember the railings being there. There was an emergency police telephone pillar, on that corner, at that time.

Strange I remember the railings but not the Halifax! How long ago would this be I wonder....

The building was an electrical shop before it was Halifax, Dunn's men's outfitters is on the left, that was in a shop on Wallgate opposite the post office before it moved to Market Place.
