One for Maureen here ! Fab photo, also my friend Sheila Charnock (maiden name Lowe)who also lived on this street.
Oh thanks Ron,my lovely street,I hope you find one of No.23..you're a belter.
These are brilliant pictures, I bet the dog is wondering what's going on... The ones I have with children looking on don't seem to put the man off either.. A strange way of 'measuring' - can't think what else he's doing!
Elizabeth and Irene..it's lovely when you see a part of your childhood isn't it,although I have to say our front looked nicer than the one on here..my friend used to say "I can tell from the top of the street where your house is because the windowsill is so shiny".Ron works very hard to get these shots..he really does.
An interesting article about the reason for these photos can be found here . . .

Look how worn down that doorstep is. Many family and friends have crossed that threshold over the years.
My best mate lived on this street Tony Lowe. I lived in Yates Street Wallgate
My mother was born in this street but I don't know what number. She always spoke about living there before moving up Pemberton in the 30s I think.
Tony,I knew a Wilfred Lowe and a Frankie Lowe but sorry no Tony.
Tony Lowe and Joe Lowe are Sheila's brothers.
Does anyone know a joe lowe from linney street scholes.
