Two young lads share a bottle of Coke as they march up Standishgate.
When I was their age it was considered an unfriendly act if you wiped the bottle top when a mate offered you a drink of his pop.

You would have to wipe the bottle top in case they had a snotty nose Dtease - or at least pretend you were drinking from t'bottle! ;oD

'Cork us' had also been heard, Albert, and the exchange wasn't for me either. Yuk! 'Crusty' always seemed to spin his way through his apples and would have put Billy Bunter in the shade.
