Another scan from the cards loaned by Irene Stone.
An interesting bit of local history in both the original message, and in the later comment added in biro some years later.
I don't know whether the Log Books for the school are available, but they should record when the strike which is mentioned took place.
The note written in biro asserts that it was 'the Jews' who had 'Spite Row' built, which I've not seen put forward before, and one wonders where such an idea might come from. Perhaps from a Roman Catholic who didn't like the commonly-held legend that the houses were erected by a Catholic?
