Many thanks to AH and all the other comments on the previous picture. I just came across this, which shows the other side of the footbridge, and the factory that was Deakin's preserve works.

Tim. Was this Deakin's preserve factory in the vicinity of Queen's Street, off Wallgate?. Did it close down in the fifties, or early sixties?.

Albert, Deakins was off Bradford St. to the bottom and turn left I remember having a party for the Queen's Coronation there, my mam worked there. Bradford St. was further down Chapel Lane opposite side of road to Queen St.8aj46

Thank you Anne. It is many a year since I was in that area. I remember it once being a police beat, named. "All around Wallgate."

Not a footbridge just an overhead pipe and if you walk down now there be two overhead pipes bridges.
