As soon as I saw Clowes Methodist Chapel, I got on street view and sure enough I found it on Enfield St and the corner of Wesley St.
Anyone know why it's called Clowes?

Winder. There was a distinguished person. Reverend John Clowes. I believe he wrote a thesis on religious doctrine.
Looks like Margaret Parkinson 1st person front row (left)and her twin brother and sister Ann and Harold same row 4th and 5th Jimmy Winstanley 6th.

Back row right, Wilf Aspey, 2nd row left, Jimmy Dean and his wife. Mr and Mrs Welsby, Doreen Devine Jimmy Swift and his wife Tizzie, Joyce Prescott, Derek Welsby. Children on the front row are Ann Stewart(married to Dougie)Raymond Swift. I had the same photo and recognised a lot on it
Lovely man Wilf Aspey. Lived opposite the Halfway House.
The chap in the centre of the photo with the flat cap on holding the little girl is Arthur Whitfield (Grandad). The little girl is Sheila Worthington (Sister) now Blakeley. 2nd row 3rd from left is Elizabeth Whitfield (Grandma). Behind Arthur is his eldest daughter Nellie Welsby (Aunt) to the right is Walter Welsby (Uncle). On the right of the lady in front of Walter, the lady in the dark hat & light coat is Ada Worthington (Mum). Just under Arthur's left shoulder, the little girl in the beret is Doreen Welsby (Cousin) now Knowles. On the right in the 3rd row is Derek Welsby (Cousin). Jimmy Winstanley just in front of Derek. Can't help with any other names. Hope this help's.
