Prospecting for "gold" at Boar's Head 1971

Anyone remember this? The concept was that 20 or 30 bars of "gold" (actually wooden blocks painted yellow) had been buried and if you managed to dig one up you won a prize. The event took place on the old Gidlow coal wash. It was a bit of a farce as the blocks had been buried so deep and the ground was so hard that only a couple were unearthed. They ended up drawing lots for most of the prizes. The cowboy breakfast was probably sausage and beans courtesy of a certain factory in Kitt Green.
