Lifeline for Wigan Animals was the local RSPCA Wigan & District Branch shop which originally was on Greenhough Street, they moved here when that shop (known as the Ark)was demolished when the road was widened, then when this area was demolished they moved into an empty shop on Petticoat Lane, they eventually moved over the road on Market Street, the shop has recently moved again, this time further up Market St.
Originally the shop was Ben Turner's Butchers.
