I can imagine turning left with an HGV 8 wheeler would be almost impossible in the 1960s.
I can imagine turning left on a pushbike after many a pint in the pub would have been almost impossible Garry...
I suspect that in this day and age, the amount of typical public houses, in Wigan, and district,is far, far fewer, than there were, thirty to forty years ago.
GW I meant not to get up the hill, but the turning left with very stiff steering and little left lock. You would have to shunt up and down to get round the tight corner.
once up the hill you would have to stay in 1st gear. Trucks in those days had no power like to-days engines.
Garry some 8 leggers would be able to turn left, it all depends who's back of wheel. I'm not saying its easy.
Good on you Gaz. You can take care of the driving.I'll be in the pub. Reckon i could park a beer truck tho'.
