Stanier Class 8 2-8-0 No.48730 comes under Taylor Lane bridge,Springs Branch with a freight train.This loco was allocated to Swansea Victoria shed in this 1952 view and looking at the condition of the engine was probably on a running in turn after overall at Crewe

Looking at the loco's appearance (Stanier 8F LMS introduced in 1935, weight 72 tons 2 cwt) it could have recently been into the shed for a clean or workshop for overhaul.
