The house on the left Tom,was it once owned by Gaffneys the builders? It is the one opposite Higher Lane on Wigan Road?

Aw.Ivy Brow is from The Colliers Arms New Springs to Higher Lane (the road leading to Haigh Hall) .
Tom Clancy ,yes this is the building that used to be Gaffneys Builders ,prior to that it a was a public house Ivy Mount. It is now a private house.

Tom The building is actually a pub, As You say Gaffneys had it for a number of years, I think it was called The Ivy.
