i denise i work on woodc0ck drive it was 40 yrs ago i rember yr mam and dad brian & marion thay where gud freinds of mine yr dad & mam was allway aving a good laugh in Queens

I lived in Medlock Way and remember an incident when a ice cream van reversed over a little girl (not sure of the exact details) but I remember the dad of the little girl giving the driver a thumping. I think the little girls surname was Blackledge and I seem to have the name Tommy as the dad.

is that your granddad Jimmy or my dad Bill in the De Roma ice cream van

Lisa, did you know the Welch family. I think they moved from Medlock way to Woodcock area. Harry and Nellie and they had children Lynne and Garry also older brother Graham.

Can anyone tell me which part of woodcock the pic was taken it looks like its near paper shop cos or is it the 2 bedroom houses thats on the big hill near eastgarth

Yea the shop would of been just at the front of the ice cream van .its been knocked down now and yes them are the 2 bedroom houses .rose round lives in the first one .
