I bet he can! All tree's this area now and the marker only visable in winter.

Indeed! The shaft in question, for those who don't know, is the Brock Mill pit.
That old horse drawn cart in the shot has been there, pardon the pun, Donkeys Years.

does anyone know what the 3 track lines on each brick pilers are for?

If you mean the rails that are sticking out of the brick piers,I think that they are putlogs
