Could be a Darts or Fishing Club?
The man on the extreme left is my cousin John Heyes next but one is my Uncle Aaron (Heyes),
also on the photograph on the left of the doorway is another relative Uncle Tommy (Jones).
Can anybody put names to any other faces ?

the person on front row left on his haunches ( not sat down ) is Leslie Hodson I think .

That's correct Ian. It is Les Hodgson. Also in the photo is Harold Houghton, brother-in-law of Les.

My great grandfather Robert Sherrington was the licensee in 1939. Does anyone know when this was taken and whether he might be in the photograph?
It was the Bath Hotel (no 's'). Old Bob Sherrington was a friend of my great uncle, Jack Cockrell, the Superintendent of Wigan Baths. My parents, Bill & Beatrice Taylor had their wedding reception at the Bath Hotel and we watched the Coronation there in 1953. We lived at 62 Millgate.
