A then & now view taken on Ormskirk Road (at the junction of Ridyard Street).
The then shot dates back to around 1962 & shows a walking day (probably from St Marks,Newtown).
The now shot was taken around 50 years later (in February 2012) from the same spot.

You picked a bad before picture there Harry, there is a much better one of the same place on St Marks walking days.

Sorry Jimmy,I know the photo has had a hard life but its the only one that i`ve got.
My wifes late auntie is in the photo (shes the 3rd woman from the right,in the foreground) & this photo was in her aunties collection.
I just thought that I`d put it on with a now shot just to show how little has changed.
Even the chemists on the corner of ridyard street is still there,(albeit shuttered up)

Nothing has changed there Harry, it's a pity the walking day photo is not a better one, I may have a play with it, if thats allright with you.
