Highly illuminated Tyler and Sons window and decorative building.

Great picture Ron, what an incredibly ornate building and what a loss.
That must be the Nat West Bank opposite, which at the time I assume would have been the Wigan Bank?

Tyler & Son's must have looked amazing in the evening when those lights were lit.
Looking at a recent photo I would speculate that it was not demolished but that the at some stage the entire frontage was removed and remodelled with mock Tudor boarding and integrated into Woolworths. The pitched roof above still appears to be the same.
Then of course the Burtons Building was erected next door, now Specsavers.
