It looks like just before we closed, which was in the early 80s, I think 83, when we were bought out and closed downm at the time we were still making a good profit, but the buyers wanted the contracts we, as Park Pallets, had with mostly the Ford Motor co, while Thompsons as it was called still had a skip and scrap division going, I was the driver on the Skip Wagon at the time of closure

Yes I remember it as well I used to have my dinner in one of the old guards vans. I used to drive an Albion wagon in and out of Fords at Halewood with steel bins and pallets which we used to repair. That was in the early 1980s.
