Scanned from an unused postcard, probably from between the wars.

The photograph shows the entrance to The Rookery
which was originally Prescott's Farm until they moved to the present site on Lees Lane.

It is a photo of the drive leading to the house. My sister and her family lived and farmed here in the 1960s. I was only a child then but remember it well.

Is this Prescott's farm that was a restaurant back in the 1960's? My parents regularly went there for Sunday lunch

Prescott's Farm Restaurant. Lees Lane was something very special and we used to go there quite often in the 1990's once having a colleague and his wife from Sheffield stay overnight in the converted barn next door. There was an old reclining chair in their bedroom which they loved, next day they found one similar in Bygone Times, bought it and took it home.
Sad when we came back from living abroad and found that it had closed, I think it now private dwelling.
Would love to see any pictures of it as a restaurant.
