these are just amazing pictures, we have been trying to find out some of the history of this beautiful place for some time..thank you to whoever put these on, do we know why it was named 'Skitters'?

I was five when my granddad retired, some of my earliest memories are of walking along this path with him. A year or so later my dad would bring me here on summer evenings to kick a ball about.

Someone used to burn the grass off, when it was dry enough. Whenever I see (or smell) scorched grass it reminds me of here.
