Night shot by Colin Pearce, note the metal framed window these used to freeze solid shut in winter, with the ice on the inside....brrr.
Still good times. Once had an owl that hit the window one night, so we looked after it until it could fly a few days later. We let it go and it flew straight down the hill and landed on the OWL pub. True story and I have a picture of the owl still.....

Cracking photo Martin, very evocative. I lived in Worsley Hall and the ice used to form there on the inside of my window. I love this picture!

The kids today couldn't cope with freezing houses with just a coal fire.
