This is basically the same shot posted by Ron in this section... but showing the other side of the street as well... The Crofter sits on the corner midway down on the left.
These pictures astound me, I can never imagine Wigan looking like this. It's great to see.

Looks like the lad bottom left hand corner is taking a hot dinner to someone at work.

Look at the fantastic buidings on the right hand side. Obviously the Council hadn't yet got the power to demolish wonderful buildings.
Also, Queens Hall was built in 1908 and would have shown up on this photo.
