This was my gran's house. 163 Warrington Road, Goose Green. It was nearly opposite the junction with Tyrer Avenue.
The picture was taken by me in about 1980 just prior to them being demolished due to subsidence. I think that's why I took the photo, and having just found it, it brings back many memories of staying there.
It was a two up, two down house, outside loo and I remember the floors were all uneven.

I`m sure someone was on WW a while since asking if anyone had photos of these particular houses. Pity not more folk took pics for posterity until it`s to late.

Teresa,
My great grandparents lived at 159 Warrington Road. When did your relatives live there?

I now that my great grandparents lived at 139 for a long time. so did my mum, madge charnock and my aunt ivy charnock. I have a receipt which says that a washer was purchased in 1961, with the address of 159 warrington road, but then 139 was written over it.all my other documents say they lived at 139 warrington road from late 1800's to 1960's.

I lived on the Worsley Mesnes Estate, just off Tyrer Avenue. I got married in 1980 and moved out. I remember a Mr and Mrs (Edna) Turner who lived a bit further up.
