Derek Rigby, William Mawdsley & Gerald Mawdsley with Paddy the dog, outside 4 Battersby St. the house in the background stands on Belle Green lane. Derek Moved to the Isle of Man I have not heard from him since but maybe someone is in contact with him? The Dog belonged to a lady who lived in the terraces on the left side of Chatham St It might as well been ours, it was always with us.

Notice the coal bunker and the metal bin, now things of the past for the majority. Remember the bin men, they rolled those bins or carried them on their shoulders. Not much rubbish was thrown away when we all had a coal fire to burn things on! Great piccy.

Nearly Margaret I worked in Brooks Bros which used to be Alexander before it closed (near to the undergroung toilets in Market Place) the we moved across the road to Peter Pells.

Which Margaret are you? I am intrigued now !!

hi gerry you won`t remember me but i use to come in the shop every week to pay for my dad`s suit. i must have been about 14 at the time.i remember i use to blush a lot when i came in the shop because i use to fancy you.obviously you hadn`t changed or i wouldn`t have recognised you.hope you are well. margaretx

my dad`s name was ernie berry and we lived at beech hill. i now live in hr.ince. my dad`s left arm was a lot shorter than his right one and he always had to have his shoulder padded to make his suit look right.if i remember rightly in the shop was a catalouge with mens and womens clothes in that you could order and pay for weekly.it`s surpriseing what you see on this site.lol. do you still live in ince?

Gerald thats probably the smartest ive ever seen you dressed. The last time i saw you was at Cardinal Newman and before that at St williams. We had the best memories in the school any idea who this is?

Well impressed with the youtube clip it seems sometimes the lower end of the school pupils have gone on to better things...Are you still entertaining? I cant say we i will ever reach your dizzy heights but i too am entertaining in a local band in Southport were i now live. You rang me a while ago to ask if i would be interested in a school reunion we were the class of 69. Any idea yet who i am?

I am the short lad on the right in this pic.. If you zoom in onto that dark patch near my head you'll see its a face with an open mouth. These were fancy tiles where the water came out of the sink in the pantry. This particular one was on Derek's house.. We didn't have one. Just an owd pipe sticking out of the wall
