I think this is farmer Jack Alker and his Mother and Father. When we lived on Rose Hill we used to walk over his field as a short cut either to the brick yard or Soughers Lane, we often got chased by Jack.

I lived at 13 Eddleston Street with my mam Phyllis Barber ( married name Bowden). My mum and I were both born in the house. It was my grandparents house. I vaguely remember walking up the lane by the farm when I started school and May Alker used to deliver our milk. We moved to a council house in Ashton when I was 16.
Hi Linda this is the longest shot I've ever posted hope you see it sometime, do you remember Dougie and Irene from next door we had a son David in 1966 about that you had just passed the 11 plus you were always a nice clever girl we have often wounded about you
I remember you very well. You were a lovely couple so kind to my mum and I. I remember walking Bess your lovely dog. I went to college and ended up as headteacher of a primary school in Blackpool. We lived in Lytham St Annes and my mother moved to be nearer to us. We now live in Devon. My mum passed away in 2008 just before we moved to Devon. We have two daughters and are expecting our first grandchild in May. How is your son David doing?
