Dont know about you Oz but I can hear Frankie Laine singing the theme tune from High Noon.....Gary Cooper appearing out of the shadows.......'for I must face a man who hates me' ....

It puts me in mind of ' Happy Hour at the Bellingham '. You'd need to be a patron of the aforesaid establishment to get that one though.

She'd have been better off staying in Wigan than swanning off to Monaco as things turned out though veebee.

Jinksi. It can happen. When I was working in Central London in the early 1980s I twice saw a tank coming up the road. Once when looking out my window which overlloked lambeth Bridge a tank came across the bridge, and secondly I was walking along the Strand one afternoon and I heard a huge engine noise behind me , turned roand a a tank was going along in an easterly direction. I should explain that it was the same tank,it was painted bright pink and had had its gun removed. It was well known in London at the time and was taken out to promote Gay Rights (hence the pink colour) Neverthless as you can imaging the first time I saw it was memorable to say the least. I can also assure you that on both occasions it wasn't dawdling along either but moving quite quickly and keeping up with traffic !!
