Unknown ladies of Bryn road, but a couple could be sisters of Kitty (Katie) Naylor. Taken on the croft on Bryn road where the drum and Monkey would in later years be built.

Karen: When you look at old pictures like this and you remember the girls or boys you used to go to school with names pop in head, for example end ladie on the right? Could it be some relation to olive Ryder from downall green, nice photo Karen history etched on each face.

Hi John. Sorry i'm not really sure of any names but i think the lady in question could have been a Naylor.

The two end ladies are sisters. The one on the left is Annie Naylor and the one on the right is Beattie Naylor, their other sister was Katie Naylor The lady in the middle I think is Mrs Wood. The land where the photo is taken was on the corner of Nicol lane and Bryn road where the new North ward Labour Club was. The croft was in front of the old Labour club further down opposite where I used to live. ( 299 Bryn Rd ) The club was commonly called the Drum and Monkey
