Looks like people living in the Wigan Council care home with some of the nurses/ carers

Yep, recognise my mum (third from the left of the two kids in the front row, her mum (Grandma Alice) sat directly above her to the left, Auntie Irene (I think) to her right, and grandad Ernest who is third from the left of the gents on the back row. (The Lee family)

If anyone knows who owns this photo then I would love a higher resolution photo than this. A version scanned in 300 Dpi would be great then you could really pick out faces in this photo

It isn't a care home, It's a few families celebrating the coronation. Those strange hats are coronation hats. My family in the photo (Lee Family) were the first people to live in one of those then newly built houses in the background
