Is that Alan Atherton in the cap under the "Bird" in Bird Street ? He lived there for years before Pauline dragged him off to the altar. The neighbours had a whip round for his wedding present.....a one way ticket to Wigan

If only... names were on this photo` I`m sure my father-in-law, Harold Ward Magnall and his sisters, would be on here!
Does anyone know if Bird Street school was near Edwin Street Ince, as I`m sure I remember him speaking of Bird Street?

This is not a school photo, Christine, just a street photo, with "Bird Street" written on somebody's window. There was no Bird Street school.....the children here would have gone to Ince Central, Little Rose Bridge or, if they were Catholic, St. William's. Bird Street was and still is just off Manchester Road, near to Ince Bar, and is still cobbled.

Hi, where on Bird Street is this? Is it the bottom, where the nursing home is now? Thank you!
