The girl on the left is Susan Moss (Doherty)and her friend Carolyn Mason taken at Wigan Fair in about 1963/64. You can just make out the monkey in the middle of the photo

Wigan fair just reminds me of the black pea tent. My mum and I used to make a beeline for it. I remember you used to just pick a cup up (no styrofoam in those days), always dirty from previous user, but the peas where heavenly. I visited Wigan about 15yrs ago and was pleased to still see black peas being sold, and yes, I had some, lol.
