A photo of four Birkett Bank children taken in 1951 on a hot day. They are standing outside the Crispin Arms and left to right it's Henry Meadows aged about 4, Elaine whose second name I can't remember but I think she lived around the corner in Birkett Street, Evelyn Meadows aged 6 and finally my sister Anne Bowen aged 6. The Meadows family had a Radio and TV shop a few doors up from the pub, it was run I think by Henry and Adelaide Meadows and they also had an elder son Alan.

Hi watchalot, just seen your posting, sorry to disappoint you I got my sister's age incorrect (1951 was a guess) She's 18 months younger than myself and I'm 72 in December. She'll be 70 in August this year. We met up at her daughter's wedding a fortnight ago in Standish.
