The bungalow and the now empty farmhouse,soon to be pulled down,and the bypass never came.

Now I have my bearings, I can say it is in the field to the left between Amberswood bridge and the Michael Edwards garage, in the Hindley direction, I think it is owned by the Lynch family, or it was ????

That is the Wigan to Manchester railway line between Ince and Hindley in the background.

Nearly correct Aitch,the barn and buildings were owned by the Leaches,they were sold a few years ago,the bungalow is still owned by the Leaches though.

I was born in the original farm building in July 1946. Then owned by my grandfather and mother (James and Elizabeth Leach. My father John and mother Barbara took us south to Norfolk when I was 10 months old. Farm subsequently passed to my uncle (James) and his wife. They subsequently had the bungalow built.
