Derek... the gentleman on the back row extreme right (the tallest man)...

He was there when I was working there in the 70's, he eventually came across to the new glass fibre department as one of the bosses. I am sure he lived in Abram, and I remember he suffered a personal tragedy within his family.

What I cannot remember was his name?

Dennis I'm sorry I cant remember his name also,He was a
chargehand-Ferrobestos machine shop. The glass fibre work was just starting at that time. The bloke in middle front row--Harry Beeley Senior engineer--I believe he became the principal of the engineering dept at Leigh Tech later.

Hi, Ian Glover. Are you the Ian that worked in the Belting Home Sales? Along with Kathryn, Peter and Rae (to name but a few).

Hi Derek, I worked at J.W. Roberts from 1960 to 1966. The names of the bowlers are :- Back row L to R Jack Monks, John Atherton, Jack Haydock. Front row L to R Derek Bell, a.n.other, Harry Beeley, Tom Martin, and Bert Leyland (Bert made me laugh as he used to go to north or south Uist (Scotland) for his holidays just taking a mac and his wellies.

Dennis - the name that you are after is Jack Haydock, and I do know of the event you refer to.
